The goalkeeping situation remains unchanged, with Alisson Becker still sidelined by a hamstring injury and yet to return to full training, meaning Giorgi Mamardashvili continues in goal. Liverpool’s recent form adds to the concern. They entered the international break on a three-match losing streak and then suffered their first home league defeat of the season against United, despite creating several clear chances.

Following Gravenberch’s injury, Slot tweaked his setup, tasking Florian Wirtz and Curtis Jones with greater central duties in a more attacking shape.
