Laila Ali blasts Claressa Shields’ character during fight talk, accusing her longtime rival of years of disrespect and taking aim without holding back.

Laila Ali has fired back after Claressa Shields took aim at her.

During an appearance on “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” with Gillie Da Kidd and Wallo, Shields claimed that Ali’s boxing legacy only exists because of her famous father.

“I’ll take the high road like Terence Crawford and say she was the best of her era,” Shields began around the two-minute mark. “Actually, I’m not gonna lie — Ann Wolfe was the best in her era, and I’m the best in this era. Laila Ali is just Muhammad Ali’s daughter.”

Gillie Da Kidd tried to intervene, saying, “Nah, come on, we ain’t gonna do that,” but Shields doubled down, insisting, “Nah, that is right.”

Wallo then defended Ali, saying, “She was in there fighting,” yet Shields refused to back down.
“She can’t fight like Ann Wolfe,” she added. “If you’re talking about the best of that era, Ann Wolfe would’ve knocked Laila Ali out.”

In response, Ali released a nearly 30-minute YouTube video hitting back hard.

“You know what my father would say? She’s a generic wannabe,” Ali said. “My father would never want to share his name or image with her. She doesn’t represent anything about him — not in the ring or outside of it.”

Ali went on to say she once supported Shields but has since been disappointed.
“Many of us, myself included, had high hopes for her. I supported her and sent her off in the right direction, but she’s become a disappointment — a terrible reflection of both the sport and our culture.”

While Ali didn’t confirm whether she’ll accept Shields’ $15 million fight offer, she hinted that she might address it in a future video.
