Transfer Notebook: West Ham eye Manchester United forward for January move, Endrick tipped for possible Premier League loan, and Manchester City target declared untouchable.

Nuno Espirito Santo has reportedly told the West Ham board that he requires at least three new signings in the January transfer window — including a striker.

The Portuguese manager’s tenure at the London Stadium has started poorly, following a 1–1 draw at Everton and a disappointing 2–0 home defeat to Brentford on Monday. With Niclas Fullkrug sidelined once again, the Hammers had no natural No.9 in their lineup, while Callum Wilson remained an unused substitute despite the team struggling in attack.

One possible target is Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee, who is said to be eager to leave Old Trafford. However, West Ham could face competition from Serie A sides such as Roma, who may end Evan Ferguson’s loan from Brighton to make room for a new striker.

Nuno is believed to favour a traditional target man in the mould of Chris Wood or Raul Jimenez. Another name linked is Real Madrid youngster Endrick, who is reportedly considering an exit in January due to limited playing time ahead of the World Cup. West Ham, along with Aston Villa and Tottenham, have all expressed interest in the 19-year-old Brazilian in recent windows.

Meanwhile, in the Championship, Norwich City could turn to club legend Mark Robins if they decide to part ways with under-fire boss Liam Manning. talkSPORT understands that Manning’s position is under growing scrutiny, with the Canaries sitting 20th in the table after just two wins from their opening ten matches.

Robins, currently in charge at Stoke City, has guided the Potters to third place — only three points off automatic promotion. The 55-year-old, who helped Norwich finish third in the inaugural Premier League season in 1993 and famously beat Bayern Munich in the UEFA Cup, remains highly regarded at Carrow Road. Whether he would be willing to leave his current post at Stoke, however, remains uncertain.
