Revealed: Liverpool’s position on whether they’ll accept an offer for Mohamed Salah ahead of the January window

Liverpool have no current plans to sell Mohamed Salah next summer, according to sources speaking to Football Insider.

Despite a noticeable dip in form this season, with the Egyptian star managing just four goal contributions so far compared to an impressive 47 in the previous campaign, the club are not considering cashing in on him either in January or next summer.

Salah’s struggles have coincided with Liverpool’s poor run of results, with the Reds losing four consecutive games across all competitions for the first time since November 2014.

The 33-year-old signed a new deal in April that runs until the end of the 2026–27 season. Should Liverpool keep him beyond next summer, he would be able to leave for free a year later.

Since joining from Roma in 2017, Salah has been central to Liverpool’s modern success, and completing his current contract would see him reach a decade at Anfield.

However, insiders add that Salah himself will likely have the final say on his future, given his legendary status at the club. Having built up immense respect and influence at Anfield, the winger will effectively decide when he wishes to move on.

If he chooses to seek a new challenge next summer, it’s understood that Arne Slot’s side won’t stand in his way.
