Seventeen-year-old Liverpool player in exceptional form is poised to lead the attack following two injury setbacks.

The team has achieved consecutive shutouts, beginning with a goalless draw against Atletico Madrid at home and followed by a 2-0 victory over Galatasaray. This solid performance is led by U21s coach Rob Page, with U18s coach Simon Wiles assisting.
Today, the Reds face Eintracht Frankfurt at the Sportpark Dreieich at 1 PM, marking the midpoint of their initial league phase.
The fixtures in the UEFA Youth League mirror the first six matches played by the senior team in the Champions League. The top 22 teams will qualify for the knockout stages, along with 10 from the Domestic Champions path.
Currently, Liverpool is 12th in the standings, while Frankfurt sits at 19th after a 4-0 win against Galatasaray and a subsequent 2-1 loss to Atletico Madrid.
Liverpool’s need for a strong defense is even greater with strikers Jayden Danns and Will Wright both sidelined due to long-term injuries, and Danns is expected to miss the rest of the tournament’s first stage.
In their attack, 17-year-old Josh Sonni-Lambie has been shining, having scored two goals in the U18 Premier League North, bringing his total to nine for the season, including a goal in Istanbul last month.
Sonni-Lambie also took a significant step in his development by starting for the U21s in their EFL Trophy loss to Crewe Alexandra last week.
